About Koko

I am the unplanned child to a woman so strong. A sister to brothers. A dreamer. A writer. A mother. A lover. Ninja in the dark. Star shaped in a very square world. Teacher to eager ears.  My learning desire is quenchless.  On the outside looking in.  Not interested in the fake. Wizard when I can find my wand. Fascinated by fireflies. Fighter of underdogs. Small, but mighty. Believer in superheroes. Ecstatic to be different. Provider of nourishing meals, sassy when needed, quirky at best. Epic concoction maker. Boredom doesn’t exist.

I am super excited to be going on-line with atkokosplace.  How blogging came to be….My tech-y/social media savvy kids kept on telling me with each finished project I did, every bottle of lotion I created, people I’ve helped, “Mom, you need to blog about that…” I had no clue what blogging was! Through their encouragement and help and belief in my many works… Thank you kids.  I hope I make you proud.

I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands.  I can remember as a little girl making a car that was just my size out of a cardboard box.  I even outfitted it with a rear view mirror and personalized license plate!  I made all the furniture for my Barbies and when GI Joe’s came into the picture I sewed countless tiny tents and sleeping bags.  The first time I started working with wood was in the fifth grade.  I made Japanese sandals out of scrap lumber.  As a child I was given gifts that were thinking gifts, like building things such as a miniature house or boat that I could sail in the gutter on a rainy day. Countless hours of crocheting and macrame and making bracelets kept me happily entertained. In my science kits I remember making a working volcano among other fun experiments. I loved every minute of creating and concocting. Fascinated and hooked to this day I am!

At Kokos Place is a lifestyle blog where I share what’s going on in and around my life! Here is where I show you how I have re-purposed – up-cycled items, build new things, sew and glue…well you get the idea! Reviews on stuff can be found here too! Blogging my experiences is another extension of how I show love and appreciation for the people around me. The same goes for every meal I make and every tincture I come up with, love always goes into the mix. And I hope to share them with you! There will be all kinds of “life stuffs” tossed in as well, after all, this blog is a little about me; what I like, what moves me, what makes me think, what makes me sigh and what makes me wonder. I imagine this blog will continue to evolve as life evolves…

Until then, I’d love to have you follow along on my journey.

❀ Please like, follow and share. I do appreciate your support! All the best, Koko❀
