Calling all plant enthusiasts…anyone know what this is? It is almost seven feet tall. I spotted this plant a few years ago. The first time I noticed just fuzzy large leaves; about 8 or 10. It grew a bit taller and then it was chopped down in its prime by someone I shall not name. (Don’t want him to feel bad…erm 😉 ) Then we had a couple of winters where it just didn’t grow. So I had wondered if “person I shall not name” killed it. Well lo and behold this year the fuzzy large leaves popped up, and up, and up, and up it grew. As I’ve said it’s nearing seven feet tall. The spikes you see at the top have yellow flowers growing along it. The center spike is over a foot long and the side spikes a bit shorter. The yellow flowers are really adorable, (wish I got pictures before they started falling off). So anyone out there know what this plant is, I’d love to hear from you. 🙂
